There are no ace strikers or number four batters in rugby, so who is the team's star? The story begins at the Kanagawa High School admission ceremony, where Kenji Gion, a little but courageous achiever, joins the rugby team. He joins forces with his classmate Iwashimizu, who has a troubled past, and the sub-captain Hachiouji, who takes excellent care of his Club members. Captain Sekizan possesses formidable abilities, but he keeps his cards close to his chest. Due to personality and physical performance variances, the team must learn to work and improve together in order to become the greatest.
