Accused
Jimmy McGovern developed the British anthology Accused. The two-season drama initially aired on BBC One on November 15, 2010. Each episode follows a different character in court and describes how they were accused. Christopher Eccleston, Benjamin Smith, Juliet Stevenson, Andy Serkis, Marc Warren, Naomie Harris, Sean Bean, and Anne-Marie Duff have played the accused. McGovern's past dramas include The Street and Moving On. McGovern created the Accused anthology series after Granada Television canceled The Street in 2009. Manchester-based McGovern, Danny Brocklehurst, and Alice Nutter wrote Accused. International Emmy for best drama series, 2011.
