A Country Practice
The Australian drama series A Country Practice was shown on TV. At the time it started, it was one of the longest-running shows of its kind. It was made by James Davern of JNP Productions. He wrote the pilot episode and entered it into a script contest for the network in1979, where it placed third and won a merit award. It ran on the Seven Network from November 18, 1981, to November 22, 1993, for a total of 1,058 episodes. It was made at the ATN-7 factory in Epping, Sydney, Australia. After a long run on network seven, it was picked up by network ten for 30 episodes from April to November 1994 with a mostly new cast. However, the ten series wasn't as popular as the seven series. The series on Channel Seven was also filmed in Pitt Town, while the series on Channel Ten was filmed in Emerald, Victoria.
