You're Telling Me!

Sam Bisbee is an inventor whose inventions (such as a keyhole finder for drunks) have only brought him poverty. His daughter loves the son of the local snob. Circumstances conspire to wreck his bulletproof tire just as he is about to achieve success. Another of Sam's inventions prevents him from committing suicide, so he chooses to continue living.
