In April1942, a corps of American Army nurses is taken prisoner by the Japanese and imprisoned for three years on the island of Bataan. As a colonel, Lt Margaret Ann Jessup, who was the head army nurse, testifies against the Japanese in front of a U.S. Congressional subcommittee years after she survived the camp.
