Winter Passing

In exchange for obtaining for publication the love letters that her father, a reclusive novelist, sent to her mother, who has since died away, actress Reese Holden has been given a little fortune by a book editor. In Michigan, when Reese returns to her hometown, she discovers that an ex-grad student and a would-be musician have taken up residence with her father, who is more concerned about his new acquaintances than he is about his own health and well-being.
