The Japanese animated movie that you're about to watch is a suspenseful one that's geared more at adults. The Earth and the Black World, which is a parallel dimension inhabited by spider-like aliens, are in the process of terminating a peace treaty that has existed between the two worlds. A human gentleman named Taki and an extraterrestrial woman named Maki have been tasked with the duty of ensuring the safety of a diplomat who will be essential in the negotiation of another treaty. Only the friendship that develops between the two officers has a chance of preventing the annihilation of Earth at the hands of a fanatical party of extraterrestrials from the Black World who are working to eliminate the diplomat and thwart the treaty. Although the intention is for this to have a symbolic function, the theme is exploited far too often. Many violent images have a clear connection between sexual activity and acts of violence. Although the film has a compelling narrative, it is not at all appropriate for young viewers or those who are easily offended.
