Vares - The Sheriff

It's not uncommon for Jussi Vares to discover two victims in the Turku suburbs: a woman who had been fatally shot in the head, as well as a guy whose body is covered in cut-like markings, indicating that the killing had been part of some sort of evil rite. An additional year passes before Vares is brought in to look into the slayings. Invisible godfather, sheriff, Varesta is guided by cable wires in Turku's underworld. The Sheriff is the person we don't talk about since we don't know him. When Vares gets too near to the "jury," the secret clubs of the underworld lords, he's putting his life at risk. Vares gets too close to the truth when sifting through the case.
