Marko and Blacky, two black marketeers, manufacture and sell weapons to the Communist resistance in WWII Belgrade while living the good life. Marko's bizarre dishonesty propels him up the Communist Party levels, and he eventually abandons Blacky and snatches his girlfriend. Following a lengthy stay in a below-ground refuge, the pair resurfaces during the Yugoslav Civil War of the 1990s, as Marko realizes the situation is ripe for exploitation.
