Trust the Man

Her marriage to stay-at-home dad, Tom (Moore), isn't going well. Rebecca has to come to terms with this and move on with her life (Duchovny). Billie Crudup plays Rebecca's lazy brother, Tobey. Tobey and his aspiring-writer girlfriend, Elaine, don't seem to be able to keep their relationship going, though (Maggie Gyllenhaal). Each relationship is out of control at this point. The two couples set out on a journey to rediscover the magic and romance that comes with falling in love in New York.
