Thousand Pieces of Gold

Young Lalu is forced into marriage in 1880s China by her father's financial difficulties. An Idaho gold-mining town owner buys Lalu and gives her the new name China Polly. He intends to use her as an amusement for the residents rather than marry her. As a result of Lalu's refusal to become a whore, she eventually finds her own path in this weird land of white devils.
