There Will Be Blood
Daniel Plainview, a ruthless silver miner turned oil prospector, moves to California because of the state's abundant supply of oil. Plainview is able to trick local landowners into selling him their prized properties for a pittance by using his adoptive son to present an image of trustworthiness and family manhood. Eli Sunday, a local pastor, however, has reason to doubt Plainview's reasons and intentions, and this suspicion ignites a dispute that puts both of their lives in danger.
