Kelly Halligan relocated from New York to California with her 17-year-old niece to begin her new business venture. When her niece auditions for the soccer squad, the two meet Dominic, the new athletic and beautiful coach. They also meet the lovely but slightly unstable Maddie, a student who is also a member of the girl's high school soccer team. While Kelly and Dominic develop feelings for one another, Dominic becomes the unwelcome center of attention for Maddie, who becomes obsessed with her new coach and begins sabotaging both his and Kelly's lives after he declines her sexual advances.
