In this frightening psychosexual thriller written and directed by Matt Cruse, we follow a woman's slide into hell. Cora (Karen French) wakes up in the middle of the night dealing with the ramifications of a dream. In an attempt to maintain a normal schedule, she engages in a series of emotionally disconnected interactions and develops a perplexing psychological connection with the weird and elusive Van, who appears to be watching her (Julian Shaw). In the meantime, memories of the past threaten to destabilize her fragile state of mind, and Cora becomes increasingly disconnected from her surroundings as time passes. Is she losing her mind, or is there anything else going on? The Watcher Self is a novel about what remains after the veils of sanity are gradually removed... and what may or may not be true.
