Between the Yuan and Ming dynasties, China was in disarray in 1375. To make peace with the new Chinese government, Coryo (an ancient Korean monarchy at the time) dispatched a delegation of diplomats, troops, and a mute slave. This delegation, however, was accused of spying and exiled to a desolate desert.
