The Unloved

The Unloved is a documentary that depicts the government-run care system for orphans and vulnerable children in the United Kingdom from the perspective of a youngster. Lucy is an eleven-year-old girl. She was placed in a children's home after being neglected by her estranged mother and father. Lucy's effort to make sense of the system is shown through her eyes. Her faith in herself and the knowledge that she is being watched over and protected by the Holy Spirit is what keeps her going. Her quest for love, beauty, and transcendence is heroism at its finest.
