An evening of sex, drugs, and rock 'n' roll unravels the innocence of youth and family. The stages of grieving are dramatized in five parallel coming-of-age stories. A young mother in a custody fight finds solace in the bottle. Her ex-cruelty husband's still haunts her children, a heroin addict and his younger sibling, a harassed closet gay. These include the story of the dog, the challenged classmate who would do anything for her love, and the redhead beauty with a tragic past. This is the last night before the Toy Soldiers Roller Rink closes its doors for good.
