The Sweet Hereafter

A school bus accident in Canada's Rocky Mountains kills more than a dozen children from a small mountain town. A lawyer from a big city comes to town to help the families of the survivors and the people who died get ready for a class-action lawsuit, but his work only seems to drive people further apart. At the same time, one teenager who survived the accident has to deal with a different kind of damage that has caused him or her to lose their innocence.
