The Sweeney

The Sweeney is an action-packed British police thriller from the director of Football Factory, based on the 1970s UK TV show. A hardened cop who doesn't follow the rules, Jack Regan (Ray Winstone), is confronted with a criminal from his past. They're put on the case of a jewelry store heist that results in a killing with sidekick George Carter (Ben Drew aka Plan B). Is, however, that assassination a covert execution? It won't be easy for Regan to keep out of trouble, given the pressure from his boss and the fact that he's having an affair with that boss's wife.
