The Straight Story

Alvin Straight, a widower and retired farmer in his 70s, finds out one day that his brother Lyle has had a stroke and may not get better. Alvin wants to make things right with Lyle while he still can, but his brother lives in Wisconsin and Alvin is stuck in Iowa with no car and no driver's license. Then he decides to make the trip on his old lawnmower, which is the start of a beautiful and, at times, very spiritual journey.
