The Scalphunters

Joe the trapper is on his way to town carrying all of the hides he acquired during the winter. However, a group of Indians intercept him and steal all of his hides, leaving him with the runaway slave Joseph. But Joe has little use for Joseph and is determined to recover his belongings, so he pursues them. The Indians are raided by a band of scalphunters led by the greedy Howie before he can take any action. Joseph falls into their hands in addition to the hides. Now Joe is following them alone and attempting to deceive the numerically stronger bunch.
