Nick DeMarco, a small-time con artist, is forced by his parole officer to work as a department store Santa during the holidays...and he despises it. He hastily promises a young child, Billy, near the conclusion of his first shift that Santa will reconcile his divorced parents by Christmas. Nick determines to fulfill his promise to the youngster in some way. However, after meeting the boy's mother Carol, would Nick eventually choose to prioritize the happiness of others over his own?
