Following the discovery of a buried treasure by an old talking macaw named Mac, an elderly man facing nursing home placement is saved by the bird's knowledge of its former life as a pirate and his knowledge of the location of a buried treasure. His grandson decides to embark on a treasure hunt, only to learn that the treasure has been relocated to a resort, where it may now be found.
