In a shocking exposé aired on TV MX, the most powerful television corporation in Mexico, Governor Carmelo Vargas is implicated in significant crimes and illegal economic activities. Worried about his political future, Governor Vargas takes the step of removing himself from the public eye by negotiating a billion-dollar covert pact with the owners of the television corporation. Ricardo Diaz, a star reporter for a television network, and Carlos Rojo, a young news producer with ambition, are in charge of mounting an underhanded campaign to change the public's perception of the corrupt Governor and elevate him to the status of a political celebrity and potential presidential candidate at all costs. Mexican television argues that democracy is a sham and has already installed one president in that position.... Will they do it again? Is it possible?
