The Painter and the Thief

A few days later, the police track down the thief who took two of the artist Barbora Kysilkova's most precious paintings from an Oslo gallery called Frogner, but the paintings themselves are nowhere to be found. Rather than obtaining answers, Barbora asks the thief if she can paint a portrait of him instead of attending the trial in the hopes of discovering more information. An odd friendship will begin here. During the course of three years, a cinematic documentary chronicles the remarkable narrative of an artist who is searching for her stolen paintings, while at the same time, making the thief an artist.
