One of the mounted infantry regiments from Australia, known as the Light Horse, was among the attacking forces... A fight with Bedouin results in Lighthorseman Frank receiving wounds. Dave, a rookie soldier who takes his position, shows to be an excellent marksman, although he is hesitant to discharge his weapon at the adversary. During the onslaught by the German biplanes, Dave demonstrates his worth. While in the hospital during his recovery, he crosses paths with Anne, a compassionate nurse... A daring flanking assault on Beersheba is what the regiment will be doing when they are called upon. But how can you persuade the Turks that the primary target of the strike will be Gaza? And without water, how do you plan an assault over the desert?
