As the owner of a seedy Hollywood cabaret known for its peepshows, Cosmo Vittelli cares deeply about his performers as well as the people who work in the filthy space he has created. He also has a serious gambling addiction that has landed him in trouble in the past. When Cosmo loses a lot of money at an underground casino owned by a mafia, he can't pay.
