Alison Peters has always done everything right, but as a lawyer stuck working at a grocery store, her life is in shambles. She leases her basement on MiCasaSuCasa.com, desperate for money, and receives a message from James Brewer, who explains that he and his wife recently divorced. Alison and her colleague Sarah are dealing with a boss, Brandon, who has been harassing Alison at work. The cops are suspicious of her when Brandon is slain. As Alison and James' romance blossoms, more individuals in her life begin to fade away.
