The Grissom Gang

The Grissom Gang is a remake of the notorious 1949 British melodrama No Orchids For Miss Blandish. Kim Darby plays a 1920s-era debutante that is kidnapped and also held for ransom. Her captors are the Grissoms, a household comprised of sadists as well as morons, and also headed by Ma Barker clone Irene Dailey. Among the Grissoms, played by Scott Wilson, fancies his detainee, which leads to a bloody break down of the family unit. Both The Grissom Gang and the initial No Orchids For Miss Blandish were motivated by the record-breaker by James Hadley Chase, though neither movie maintains Chase's original ending.
