The Glass Shield

J.J. is a rookie with the Sheriff's Department and the station's first black officer. Racial tensions are high in the department, with some of J.J.'s coworkers resentful of his presence. His only true friend is the other new trooper, the first female officer to work there, who also faces discrimination in the otherwise all-white male work environment. When J.J. becomes increasingly aware of police corruption during the murder trial of Teddy Woods, whom he assisted in arresting, he is forced to make difficult decisions and puts himself in grave personal danger in the service of justice.
