The Gendarme and the Creatures from Outer Space

Inspector Cruchot, played by Funès, finds himself in the position of attempting to protect the citizens of St. Tropez from some humanoid extraterrestrials that consume oil. Touching an alien makes them sound like an empty garbage can, which is the only method to differentiate them from actual people. This is in addition to the fact that aliens have an insatiable need for petroleum-based items. There will soon be mayhem.
