The Four Feathers

The plot is set in 1875 and focuses on a British officer (Heath Ledger) who resigns his position when he finds that his regiment intends to travel off to the Sudan to fight the Mahdi. Four white feathers, representing cowardice, are sent to him by his friends and fiancée. To restore his honor, he disguises himself as an Arab and saves the lives of those who labeled him a coward.
