The Eighth Day

Harry is a busy businessman who gives lectures to young aspiring salesmen, whereas Georges has Down syndrome and lives in a mental facility. He is successful in business, but since his wife left him and took their two children with her, his social life has been a catastrophe. His children arrived by train to meet him this weekend, but Harry, working as usual, failed to pick them up. He is driving around on country roads, distressed and enraged, because neither his wife nor his children want to see him again. He nearly runs over Georges, who is fleeing the facility because everyone else has gone home with their parents except him, whose mother has died. Harry makes an attempt to get rid of Georges, but he refuses to abandon his new friend. Eventually, they create a remarkable friendship, one that transforms Harry into a completely different person.
