The Dreamlife of Angels

Two poor young women with scant prospects make pals in Lille. Isa moves in with Marie, who is flat-sitting for a mother and kid who are in a coma after a car accident. Isa is outgoing and unskilled, with plans to go to warmer climates. Marie is typically either angry or disconnected. Then, while Isa continues to visit the kid in whose flat they live, going to the hospital to read to her, Marie gradually falls in love with a wealthy young man. Marie first keeps him at distance, but as she pursues him, she begins to fantasize that he is her life's love. Isa's friendship suffers as she tries to warn Marie. How will Marie deal with the unavoidable? And what will they do if they lose their apartment?
