The Double Life of Véronique

Although they are not related, Véronique is a gorgeous young French woman with aspirations to become a well-known singer. Weronika, who lives in Poland and has aspirations to be a well-known singer like Véronique, is physically identical to Véronique. As the film progresses, we see both ladies dealing with the ups and downs of their respective lives, with Véronique pursuing an unconventional romance with Alexandre Fabbri, a puppeteer who she hopes may be able to assist her with her existential difficulties.
