Tae-seok, a professional baduk (go) player, loses a high-stakes game to known underground gambler Sal-soo and is framed for his own brother's murder and imprisoned. He vows vengeance and trains with ferocity. After serving his seven-year sentence, he contacts his brother's former associate "Tricks," hermit and blind master player "The Lord," and skilled junkyard owner Mok-su; together, they devise a strategy to retaliate against Sal-soo and his men. Tae-seok infiltrates Sal-inner soo's circle and gaming den, gradually eliminating Sal-men. soo's However, Sal-soo finds Tae-true seok's identity and challenges him to a final game that will determine the fates of both men.
