Freddy Gale has waited six years for John Booth, the guy responsible for his daughter's death in a hit-and-run, to be freed from prison. On the day that the movie came out, Gale goes to Booth and says that he will kill him in a week. The way Booth spends his time is to try to make peace with himself, and even find love. Gale's life, which is going downward as a result of his fixation with Booth, will push him to the brink of insanity. Both guys will find themselves on a collision path before the conclusion of the week.
