The Conductor

While in the United States, the wife of a Polish violinist in a regional orchestra meets up with the world-famous symphony conductor. Her husband is the director of the ensemble. Turns out he had a thing for the violinist's mom. A hypochondriac conductor returns to Poland to oversee a regional ensemble. He also uses the violinist as a proxy for her mother in an attempt to reignite a dormant love affair. The conductor has earned her husband's professional and emotional resentment.
