As a result of his grief over his wife's recent death, Tom has become deeply indebted to the gambling industry. For the sake of securing a place in her will, he heads to his aunt Florence's mansion. It's evident that Tom is running out of time, so he and Elodie, the daughter of the undertaker, develop a scheme to steal from the rich townpeople buried in the cemetery across the street. At Florence's house, things take an unexpected turn after Tom returns from the graveyard raid. There are uncanny coincidences in Tom's hearing and seeing, which seem to be linked to the deaths of those he kidnapped. Furthermore, he appears to be the only one who is aware of what's going on in the building. How can we know if Tom is being plagued by his own conscience—or the ghosts of the people who he stole from?
