Mi-rae, a middle school loner, lives on the edge of truth and fantasy after being tormented at school and experiencing domestic violence. The only locations where she feels at ease are in her computer game world and in the novel she is writing in her notebook. Mi-rae increasingly opens herself to her classmates Baek-hap and Tae-yang as they become closer to her. Meanwhile, Mi-computer rae's game service is shut down, and the world in her novel vanishes, forcing her to confront a harsh reality once more.
