Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot

The seemingly fragile mother of a tough cop (played by Sylvester Stallone) is played by Estelle Getty. She visits him at his home and gradually becomes more involved in his life. She gives him an illegal MAC-10 machine pistol as a gift and begins investigating his previous cases with the police. It is revealed that even though she seems frail and weak, she is capable of strong actions in certain circumstances, such as when her son is threatened by thugs and she shoots herself in the shoulder. Eventually, the film comes to a conclusion that involves the title of the film and the revelation that even though she seems frail and weak, she is capable of strong actions in certain circumstances.
