Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home

Admiral Kirk (William Shatner) and his crew are wanted by the Federation for their heroic rescue of Spock from the doomed Genesis Planet. They are now on their way home to face retribution for their deeds. However, as they approach Earth, they discover that it is under the control of an unknown alien entity whose signals are slowly killing the globe. Kirk and his crew rush back to the late twentieth century in a desperate attempt to respond to the probe's cry. They soon discover, however, that the world they once knew is more alien than anything they've seen in the outer corners of the cosmos!
