Squirm
At the start of the film, we hear from one of the characters that electricity can be used to summon earthworms to the surface, but that doing so transforms them into ferocious flesh-eaters. Indeed, a storm that night causes several power lines to snap and fall to the ground, attracting millions of man-eating worms from the earth and into town, where they rapidly begin feasting on the residents.
