Marcus Jennings, an eighteen-year-old basketball prodigy, was taken out after midnight on a bridge that did not connect the areas it was located on but rather divided them. Friends don't speak up, which gives a murderer more power and ties them together for life. Marcus's death was caused by the one thing that all of these people had in common, and that was fear. Marcus's life was cut short because of the dread that they all shared. Celebrity attracts the good, the evil, and the ugly, but not always in a clear way. Dread of remaining, fear of leaving, and fear of appearing to be weak are all forms of fear. What matters are the decisions that we make.
