Sonora
A year of nationalisms and excesses, 1931: The Chinese are evicted from Sonora, while the United States deports Mexicans and closes its borders. In a 1929 Chrysler, twelve desperate travelers cross the Sonoran desert in search of calm in Baja California. Racism, selfishness, and paranoia prove as lethal as the brutal landscape surrounding them as their journey exposes both the finest and worst of human nature.
