Some Came Running

After being away for several years, novelist Dave Hirsh finally comes back to his hometown. Dave's brother introduces him to Gwen French, an English teacher, because he hopes this will help Dave settle down. Moody Dave hates his brother and spends his time drinking and gambling with his friend Bama Dillert. Dave becomes frustrated as he is torn between Ginny Morehead, an easy lady who loves him, and the admiring Gwen.
