Under the rule of King David, Israel is a united and prosperous country, even though it is surrounded by enemies like Egypt and its friends. Elder son Prince Adonijah is a warrior and wants to be king, but his younger brother Solomon wants to be the new King of Egypt. When David finds out about this, he makes it known that Solomon will be his successor. Adonijah and Joab, his general, flee in a fit of angry anger. A wise and good ruler like King Solomon makes Israel great, and other rulers in the area see that and fear him. As part of a plan to destabilize Solomon's rule, the Pharaoh of Egypt agrees to give the Queen of Sheba a Red Sea port. Sheba wants to get Solomon to marry her and bring Sheban pagan worship into Jerusalem, but he doesn't want to do it. Adonijah, who was banished, also tries to help Pharaoh and get an army to fight Solomon, but he doesn't get to fight. The movie is based on two Bible chapters: First Kings 10 and Second Chronicles9. It's a very fictionalized version of these events.
