It looks like Ashley's life is going in the wrong direction. She is 18 years old. She's been hanging out with bad people and looking for a way to get away from all the drama at home, so she's been going out. It all changes when a handyman working on the family's house encourages her to volunteer for a Christmas play with kids who don't have a lot of money. Ashlee finds a sense of purpose by giving help to people who need it, and she uses that to help her family. One person can make a big difference with the gift of giving.
