Seven Years in Tibet

In 1939, Heinrich Harrer, an Austrian mountaineer, leads an excursion to the Himalayas without his family. When World War II breaks out, however, the haughty Harrer becomes a prisoner of war in the hands of the Allies. His association with the 14-year-old Dalai Lama changes his outlook on life.
