Samurai III: Duel at Ganryu Island

Takezo, a humble and simple knight errant, decides to give up his life as a squire. As a teacher and a vassal to the most powerful clan leader in Japan, the Shogun, he's sought after. Sasaki Kojiro, who is incredibly confident and skilled, also challenges him to a duel. Instead of accepting the Shogun's favor, Takezo chooses to dwell on the outside of the hamlet and raise vegetables instead of fighting Kojiro in a year. Otsu and Akemi, who are both madly in love with him, follow him there. Finally, Takezo is called in to help with an attack by bandits on the community at year's end. Finally, he sets off across the water to Ganryu Island for his final challenge, after Otsu forgives him and accepts his love.
